Bride's Most FAQ's

  • What is the minimum number of guest I can have?  

    • The minimum number we will serve at the wedding is 50 in house, and 75 at a remote location.

  • Can I just rent from Swans Landing?

    • No, We do not rent our linens, centerpieces, etc unless we are providing the food for our Brides.  

  • Do I need to pay a security deposit?

    • A $500.00 Non-refundable Security Deposit will be charged to book and hold your wedding day.  This deposit will be deducted from your balance. 

  • What is my time frame for making changes and additions?

    • A bride can make changes on her working contract up to 14 days prior to their wedding day. The wedding must be paid in full two weeks prior to the wedding date.

  • Do you have Wedding Assistants?

    • We have three wedding assistants: Alexis Jennings, Bernadette O’Daniel, and Todd Farmer.

  • What do you charge to travel to my wedding?

    • We generally make two to three trips to a venue when we are setting up and working a wedding. We charge the state rate per mile for each trip, plus hourly wage for each staff's travel.

  • Do you serve drinks from a cart during an outdoor wedding?

    • Drinks will be served from a drink station.

  • Do you serve alcohol?

    • Yes we have a full bar, and provide full bar service. You are not permitted to bring in outside alcohol.

  • Will the Staff at Swans cut my wedding cake?

    • Absolutely, when we do full service, we are there to serve whatever the bride needs us to serve. If we have to plate each guest’s plate, we will need to bring more servers and there will be an additional labor charge. 

  • How do I know what I want to serve for my wedding? Do you offer tastings?

    • We will provide one free tasting for 4-6 people. This consists of 10 items of your choice.

  • Can I have Swans make my floral arrangements and how much are the centerpieces?

    • We will provide free centerpieces which require fresh flowers purchased by the bride and made by our on-site florists. If we do your bridal flowers, you can use any non-floral centerpieces for free.

  • I love the new personalized signs. How do I get these for my wedding?

    • We can personalize your signs for $25.00 each.

  • I need a lot of candles for my wedding and my venue will only let me have battery candles. Do you have battery candles?

    • Yes, we have various size battery operated candles to meet all your needs. We have ivory and white battery candles that we can provide for a $30.00 fee.

  • Do you provide ice and drinks for my wedding?

    • We provide drinks and ice for our meal only. We do not provide soft drinks, ice or disposable cups for the bar at a different location. All cups, ice, etc. comes with our bar services.

  • What services do you not provide?

    • We do not provide the music, making of the wedding cake, or do the photography work; however, we partner with some great vendors whom we recommend to provide these services. 

  • When I leave our first meeting, will I have a complete understanding of the cost of my wedding? 

    • You will leave knowing exactly what services Swans Landing provides and the total cost of the food, service, linens, bridal flowers, centerpieces, wedding décor, etc of your wedding.

  • Exactly what services does Swans Landing provide off site?

    • When we arrive at the venue, we expect tables to be placed where you want them. If we have to place the tables, there will be an additional $3.00 per person service charge. We will dress the tables, set up all wedding décor, work the reception, provide delicious food, beautiful wedding décor, centerpieces, floor length linens and overlays for the tables. Chair covers and ties are an additional $3.00 each simply because they are so time consuming to put on and remove. 

  • Does Swans Landing have a venue and host weddings on site? 

    • Yes, we do host weddings on location. Please see our Venue package for more details on pricing.
